There is some weirdo who keeps commenting on my posts.
I click their blogger profile yet I have no idea who the hell they are.
So I've decided to moderate comments..only because I hate feeling I have people watching me. It's disgusting.
Anyway, I am so devastated that Matthew is out of the Masterchef competition. It's incredibly unfair...to lose just because he named dried apricot instead of apricot jam. Ugh, what's the difference? I'm sure there is...but Matthew named APRICOT in the first place. Hey! He didn't name freaking lemons?!?!
So...what's the point of watching now. There is no more bromance to accompany this show...and poor Callum..he must be so bored now that his best mate is out of the competition.
When did I ever become so involved with reality tv? I dunno.
Edit: Screw this shit, I am disabling comments.

Death
Maybe I have a little too much time on my hands.
But upon reading the news regarding a plane crash, I googled all I could about the pilot who died. I found his facebook page and I could read his status updates. It's an eerie feeling, reading all the thoughts of a man who cannot ever think any more or type like he did on Sunday morning. It's haunting and immensely sad. The sheer thought of death probably never crossed his mind yet, at this point in time, he's been killed in such a tragic accident. I listened to the recordings that were available online and heard his calm and composed voice. The man was talking and now, a word is never ever coming back out again.
It's a scary thought. I can't really articulate exactly how I feel about this.
But it has certainly affected me in a way...

Australian Music: The Jezabels
The Jezabels are very close to being my favourite Australian band of the year.
I've not been so entranced with a particular band since last year, when I discovered the musical talent of Passion Pit.
I'm positive that this band will be going somewhere...it's only a matter of time when people start noticing their genius.
Edit: I hate all these Bloc Party disbanding rumours...it makes me so incredibly sad. Hope they don't disband...cause 3 Bloc Party albums and a handful of b-sides is NOT ENOUGH for a fan like me =\

Sydney
Below are two blurry night-time photos I took on Saturday when we ventured into the city for a dinner party. Sometimes, I feel as if we overlook the beauty around us. There's so much to admire.

* I decided to have comments back on again. Only because I removed all forms of contact...i.e. email and such.

My Kind of Scene by Powderfinger
Honestly speaking, although I am a Powderfinger fan, I am not a really big one. If they were not splitting up, I don't think I'd be seeing them at the Acer Arena later in the year. However, upon hearing that they are disbanding after this tour, I knew I had to go- regardless of the fact that I only know a bit of their music. I downloaded their latest offering, 'Golden Rule' and it came with a live album, containing some of their greatest hits. I stumbled upon the song, 'My Kind of Scene' through shuffle...and this song is truly one of their greatest songs...In my opinion, it stands up there with My Happiness and These Days. Here, listen:
I'm incredibly excited to see them in concert now.

Tutoring.
Ah yes. Tutoring...it's already stigmatised that every Asian goes tutoring in order to get ahead of school. So many teachers hate it, in particular my Year 11 Chem teacher who clearly disliked it when she heard that people went tutoring. The reason I am posting this is in response to a status update on facebook regarding whether there is anyone who don't go tutoring in my grade. This is purely my opinion and I am offering another dimension to look at this controversial matter. Please don't rage at me if you think what I am saying is bullshit...because I may most likely dismiss what you think as bullshit too.
Why people don't like tutoring:
1. Sabotaging the educational system. i.e. creating an uneven distribution...in the way that you must have money to go tutoring...the disadvantaged don't get it. Amiright?
2. It's not a reflection of a person's natural ability but merely a reflection of their ability to pay their way through the educational system and thus, get a place in a selective school etc.
The arguments above...are most likely what angers most people about tutoring centres. They believe that it is an unfair system... or whatever.
I guess it is true to some extent, but hey! Life is unfair, okay? And people have a natural inclination to want to get ahead of others and be benefited as a result.
I believe tutoring is beneficial to most students...especially those students who simply have AWFUL teachers at school who cannot teach most of the time. And put it this way, tutoring does take up time too so for those who get tutored, they must make most of their time and plan their studying around it etc. And...we are in year 12 this year. You can't really blame people for wanting to got the extra mile to excel in their subjects, in order to get better ranks and possibly a better ATAR... My final words? Quit whining and start studying!
PS: I am going to see Muse. Oh where at? IN THE FREAKIN' MOSH.... Ohhhhhhh.

Gutted
I am absolutely gutted that Jake has left the Masterchef competition.
Joanne should have totally left the show..she was the one responsible for the shit batter that was made on the day.
Jake..on the other hand...he's been consistent and FIXED UP THAT DAM FREAKING SALMON WHEN MARION COULDN'T BONE IT PROPERLY
So utterly annoyed.
